She was naturalborn story teller that was true to her heart. Her movies are mostly inspired by her own life. She died 2 nights ago after collapsing during a presatation at Sri Pentas. It's a great loss.
I remember the one and only time that i met her at a drama presentation at Central Market@Annexe, you could feel the warmth and friendliness she radiates. Always had a dream to work with her on an Advertisment. Guess it shall remained a dream. Her works will always be a inspriration to me.

A Towering Malaysian she was. God bless her soul.

Pekeliling Flats or better known as Tunku Abdul Rahman Flats was the second high-rise apartment building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia after Suleiman Courts. It was built in 1964. The 11 blocks of the flats were located on Jalan Pekeliling (now Jalan Tun Razak) and Jalan Pahang. On 2008(but till now it;s still there), this flats will be demolished to make way for development. It will mark an end an era when public housing resembled matchboxes in which 10 people sometimes lived in a room. -from wikipedia.

so that was my latest photography journey.

so i kinda consider a graduate now. supposed to start finding for a job like now, but feeling so lazy. lazy doing what? going out everyday, taking photos, attending events about photography. photography bug bite me.

Mamak a term that refer to Tamil Muslims in Malaysia or a Tamil term for maternal uncle or 'maa-ma'(taken from wikipedia). Today it's about a stall operate by them near my university. This stall has been a constant companion to me during those boring lectures, tutorials and long exam hours. Food is cheap, beverages are tasty, what else you need?
I have to say no other eatery has this much cultural significance in Malaysia, maybe the other being the KopiTiam.

so i'm home. what do i do to celebrate being discharge from a 6 days 5 night hospital stay at Assunta? Go to 1 Utama to shoot fashion show. Discharge and recharge my batteries just in time for the last day of Fashion On 1 in 1Utama. Fitted a 85mm 1.8 lens with SB800 flash. Aperture set nearly wide open at f2.8 and set my flash level down by 2 stop to just offer fill-in light. Focusing were set at AF-C.(continuous focusing)

i post the rest on flickr when i finishing my post-processing. so how was assunta anyway? it was good. the nurses was hot and nice =P the doctor seems very professional even the cost also very very professional.

haha. they have starbucks and the always there for you 7-11.(they don't sell protection though and poison sticks)

Monday morning, didn't manage to sleep, high fever. So went for animation exam, with a bad headache and chills. sat there for 25 minutes, manage to finish the paper.

Tuesday night, Starbucks@Assunta Hospital. Got admitted into the hospital right after my exam. with 40.4 Celsius high fever. so still here now.

Dell Studio 15

Nikon D80 DSLR

sold my 1st ever Camera and got myself a 2nd hand Nikon D80. Got myself a Dell Studio 15 laptop too. So far, enjoying both toys a lot.

So we have a new cabinet for Malaysia, that supposed to be leaner, cleaner, better and blah blah blah....

what i think? Maybe Mr. Prime Minister forgot that these ministers were mostly part of the previous government that failed to deliver on it's reform promises and so on. A group of ministers that ''cakap tak serupa bikin". Not only that, we have for the first time the most political rejects/losers in the cabinet, Losing the 2008 general election but still entering the cabinet via backdoors.

Leaner? its just 2 personnel less than the last one if i got my facts right. Meaner maybe.

At the end of the day, what you do with your position it will be judge.

Elizbeth Wong, state assemblyperson for Bukit Lanjan and Selangor executive councillor is back. Hope everything works out for her.

loser at the Batang. Pakatan Rakyat won both Bukit seats. Bukit Selambau with 15 candidates contesting, S. Manikumar from PKR won with a majority of 2,403. Bukit Gantang, MB turn MP Nizar Jamaluddin from PAS won with a bigger margin than last election with a majority of 2,789. Batang Ai, BN won with a majority of 1,854. This is a good result for Malaysia which proves the Rakyat's acceptance of the new two-party political system. So Pakatan where is the shadow cabinet?

So what been BN people been saying about the lost?
"You must understand, this is not our seat and not our state, we did not lose our own seat. So to look at it in such a defeated manner... I am not prepared to do that," Umno vice-president Hishamuddin Hussein said.

"They do not want to hear promises of change but they want to experience real change" MCA president Ong Tee Keat said. (oh..so you actually understand. =P)

Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin insisted that the by-elections are not a referendum of Najib Abdul Razak's premiership as he has just taken over the office.

"Maybe the people have a feel-good factor relating to Najib's premiership, but they have yet to absorb the good feelings." (absorb?)

Just a day before the tri-elections, there were so sure of winning. They think by lifting the ban on some newspapers and realeaseing 13 ISA detainees people will vote for them? In the first place why ban the newspapers? why detain people under ISA?and they are still quite alot of people in ISA. What about the rest?

It seems to me a politcal party is like a brand now, perception and experience is important. Promises just dont work anymore. So what if your brand promises to be the best? if it's percieve as a bluff, if the experience of using that brand is crap...bye bye brand. Even Sales Promotion nowadays dont work, like daggling Money and Development fund infront of the people. People perceive that Pakatan is better and cleaner, experience it to be real and authentic. so here you go...still King's of the Hills.

darn he got really hot exes

i have to say definitely. Being stress about my thesis this morning so decided to chill by channel surfing Astro. Manage to like watch half this movie, and it was enough to write a post about it. =P the plot is simple, a story about a political consultant trying to explain his impending divorce and past relationships to his 11-year-old daughter. This movie excel in the two elements that makes romantic comedy great, which is heart and humor. the romance too is more realistic compare to other movie that makes relationship seems so easy, which is not. This movie definitely appeal to the heart. it's witty and warmth. and you get to see Bill Clinton too... so yeah, watch it, it's on astro sometime.

It's another a set of by-election, this time in Bukit Selambau(Kedah), Bukit Gantang(Perak) and Batang Ai(Sarawak). People contesting? 15,3 and 2 respectively.

15 people trying to win a single state seat in Bukit Selambau? 13 independent and 2 from BN and PKR. That's crazy, don't they know if they don't get enough votes, they will lose their deposit which is a lot of money for the normal rakyat. To me this sound really fishy and dodgy, the chances of losing is so high and to think all 15 of them thinks that they are more qualified and able to bring more to Bukit Selambau than the other 14 candidate. Argh...sound like someone just paid them to help split the votes. But, this is Malaysia and apa pun boleh, so that just might be a chance of an independent candidate winning the seat. If he or she do win, all the best to them, just hope they stay independent and not be "friendly" to any side.

Moving on to Bukit Gantang is a David vs Goliath scene, with a relatively unknown BN candidate taking on the PAS "Menteri Besar" of Perak and a Silat Master to chap sek kai and win the seat if possible. so who will win this time? If Goliath win, it kinda mean they want the Menteri Besar back i guess.

Batang Ai in the land of the Hornbills, we see a straight battle between PKR and PRS.
I hope they want chance and had enough of being bully by the government there, sucking up resources like a vampire...

on other news closer to home, Former Selangor MB Dr Mohd Khir Toyo along with his family and other state officials spent almost RM1.6 million on two overseas trips which included a tour of Paris and Orlando Disneyland. I want to be a MB too...i will go Hong Kong Disney Land.

lol...i sound so serious ler. don't take what i say seriously ler. This is just what i think. Everyone can have their own opinions of the situation by just reading the news and of cos the new media news also ler...if not you only get one side of the story.

where we going?

the right to privacy. been following the news? sleeping pictures of our mp having a round in the internet?
so yeah...i had a chance to do an assignment regarding privacy law for my communication law class. so after some hard work, we came out with this conclusion below.

Under the current legal framework which lack privacy law and protection, the Malaysian public are vulnerable to this form of invasion of privacy and breach of confidence.

With this important legal framework that needs to be updated, there is a need for a data protection legislation to regulate companies which sell information. Bodily privacy protection legislation to protect people’s physical selves against invasive procedures such as genetic tests, drug testing and so on. Privacy of communications which covers the security and privacy of mail, telephones, email and other form of communications should also be legislated. Privacy concerning territorial, which concerns the setting of limits on intrusion into personal space and public place, must also be legislated.

Therefore, with all this form of privacy protection in place and properly legislated, Malaysia would be able to move on to a communications and multimedia hub. Where the national adoption of e-based transactions is expected to be high, in this sort of commercial environment, Malaysia will be able to position itself as a preferred trading partner that conforms to international standards of privacy protection. With all this reasons given a legal framework of privacy protection have to be drafted as soon as possible, this is utmost important for Malaysia to move into a first world country with both first world mentality and infrastructure.

so what do you think? the right of privacy important? or my conclusion is just crappy?

Earth hour. so how was yours? i was at Sunway Pyramid. i still think saving electricity all the time is better than just one hour on one special day, but i guess Earth Hour helps to promote and educate people. oh yea...Formula One season is back. vroom..vrooom...vroooommm....

watch Knowing staring Nicolas Cage recently and i have to say i was surprise. thought it was going to be another typical save the word movie but it's was fill with darn cool and painful action and the plot was meaningful and a very unpredictable twist. which was good.
The movie is basically, A lecturer(Nicolas Cage) found a piece of paper fill with numbers in a time capsule that has been dug up at his son's elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions, some that have already occurred and others that are about to that lead him to believe he has to do something... and they movie should be rated 18PG cause its disturbingly violent and quite eerie...

my only itch with the movie is the ending...looks like some Carlsberg advertisement wei, they should just end the movie just before that Carlsberg scene. But still all is good. watch it in the cinema for the action and eerieness...

its been long since i last update. been really busy procastinating assignments and thesis for my final semester in UTAR. that explain the lack of time, to lepak with you all. so sorry. My thesis is due April 7 and now i'm at Chapter 2 and helping my friend with thier questionaire which is chapter 3. i'm ''good'' =P

so whats been happening? i got another niece like few days ago and went to Putrajaya first ever International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009 on the 19th until 22nd of March. i went on the last days. it was sure hot...minus the girls.

recently been really stress out till i'm like 4 kg lighter... but now atleast everything is clearer now, can look at things one at a time again.

Watch a play last Sunday, thanks to Rachael for planning and paying for me(its my belated birthday present) and EuBing for fetching me. the title was OMG (oh my God).

My thoughts on the play, it was good. acting was superb. the storyline or plot was good. just lacking the conversations. i thought the dialog was very shallow, maybe because it was such controversial stuffs, so they didn't want to discuss it more? they mention the issues, but don't go deeper than that. but all in all...still great stuff. a better review here by Lordson.

I found that anger and jealousy has the ability to cloud your mind, and it keeps you from acting rationally and doing what your heart think is right. Worse still, in the process it hurts people around you, your love one and yourself.

I totally made a fool of myself the other day because of this, feel so pathetic now for acting that way.

I thought i was being selfless toward you, and i did i guess but with selfish reasons.
lesson learned...just do what is right and don't expect the person to do the same, expectation dash hope.

Bahasa Inggeris untuk Sains dan Matematik.
Been reading and hearing that the Government is again questioning whether to continue with the teaching of Science and Mathematics in English policy.
According to some it has "failed", because students are still not doing well in both subjects and also lack English proficiency.
Abandoning this policy now and reverting back is going to suck big time and create more confusion for students and teachers. What about the text books? Training given to the teachers? all wasted d ler...

Science and Mathematics books are mostly in English. Its the internet age, almost everything is in English. Reverting back to BM, is moving a step backward. Learning English will help us learn many others things, because a lot of stuff are in English.

If the teachers were trained well. if the teachers taught well. if the students studied well. Things will surely improve, give it time.
I still love my BM by the way, phrase like "katak dibawah tempurung","kepala otak kau","sudah lupa"...

all this is just my humble opinion. from a person that played his way through school,so it might be wrong.

Anyway, i been busy with classes and also been going Central Market Annexe for the Emergency Festival. The Festival is great, everyone should catch it before its ends. It open my eyes on alot of things and also learn the missing history that was never taught to me. I was there 3 times this week.

Make sure you catch the theatre performace, New Village and the Pineapple Rice. Its really awesome stuff.

A new Chapter...

Started my classes this week, this semester i only have one subject which is Integrated Marketing Communications(IMC) and also my Final Year Project(FYP) a thesis.

IMC a text book definition - A concept of marketing communication planning that recognizes the added value of a comprehensive plan that evaluates the strategic roles of a variety of communication disciplines. (Belch & Belch)
my simple understanding for now of IMC is - Making sure every communications from a organizations/brand is saying the same thing or is consistent, so that communications use are more efficient and cost-saving.

My FYP thesis is due next year, but have to start doing now. Still thinking of what topic i should do. For now is toward Viral Advertising and Social Media, but those topic are broad. Need to narrow it down so research will be easier. Any suggestion what i should research on about that 2 topics?

Not been updating recently cause of overloaded thoughts, too many things running through my small little brain.
some question i can't answer in writing, but want you to think about.

1. Why is our Prime Minister is stepping down? earlier i said is crossing-over is unethical cause the people voted when the person was under that particular political party. This is lagi unethical...it's a five year term, this is not even a year yet.

2. What judicial reform? when the new Chief Justice of Malaysia have political affliations and business connections. Can he still be unbias?

3. Why Blogger Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz who was arrested on Sept 17 for posting allegedly seditious material(campaign to fly the Malaysian flag upside down) in his blog kickdefella had his bail extended to Nov 21?

4. Why MP Teresa Kok is still harass by some people, when she is cleared from any wrong doing? Why is a major newspaper encouraging and suggesting violence against a MP. Read about it here.

5. Why is Hindraf banned?

6. Why are we buying such expensive helicopter, when there is cheaper alternative? news here

7. Why is this allegations not making front page news and the goverment is not doing anything yet to investigate?

I guess what they say is true, ignorant is bliss. But this is our beloved country Malaysia, we must know. Memang Malaysia Boleh, Apa pun boleh...

October 1st and 2nd, Raya outdoors at Ulu Perdik@Hulu Langat. Great outdoors and met loads of fun people. Stream-hopping(i think that what it's called) to reach the waterfall, the journey there was better than the destination..=P Waterfall a bit the small but still worth the hop up. Slept under the moonlight, bathed in the river and brush my teeth in the same river.

27th of September, featuring Shayne Ward, The DEY and Until June as well as DJ Tom Price. Thanks to Michael Yip i got a photographer pass. This was a much smaller event compare to Hennessy Artistry@Bukit Kiara, but still tremendously happening and fun. Any events with Alcohol+music+girls seldom go wrong. =P

Reach there around 8.15pm, the crowd aready was slowing building up. Pamela Chong of Amazing Race Asia fame was the host that night, pumping up the atomosphere.

Thanks to Julian, i end up quite drunk after the event. He brought me up to the VIP area and his crib was very convenient with the bar just next to it, free flow of Hennessy. He also introduce me to quite alot of model and celebrity. Thanks bro. haha..it was cool.

feeling gloomy the other day, so decided to go for a exhibition in Annexe@Central market. The Black & White Fest is a mini multi-arts fest that is a celebration of Diversity.
Divided into three parts:
1. Diversity - a Photography Exhibition
Ten Malaysian photographers return to their first love, black & white photography, to seek diversity in a monochromatic world. All works are shot on black & white film and printed on silver gelatin paper.

2. Wayang Kita-Kita - Poster Exhibition
Filmmaker Amir Muhammad and designer Liza Manshoor celebrate the 75th anniversary of Malay cinema by turning hundreds of "found" black & white stills from early Malay movies into quirky posters. The show implicitly acknowledges the crucial role of piracy in constructing our cultural memory.

3.Constitutional Amendments - Text Installation
The Malaysian Constitution has been amended over 600 times since 1957. The Centre for Independent Journalism's interactive exhibition highlights some of the more dubious changes and asks you to mark your preferences between the original and the amended ones. Do you dare make an informed choice?

What really struck me during the exhibition is the Constitutional Amendments, 600 over changes in 51 years, that's crazy. I guess it's our own fault in away, for giving the BN goverment 2/3 majority in Parliament for so long. They making the Constitutional a book of jokes. Argh...

Communist in Malaysia again?

That what i remember about my High School Sejarah, Akta ISA digunakan untuk menahan komunis(or something along that line) Kenapa digunakan sekarang? Answer is to suppress opposition and freedom of speech.

The Internal Security Act 1960 (ISA) is a preventive detention law in force in Malaysia. Any person may be detained by the police for up to 60 days without trial for an act which allegedly prejudices the security of the country or any part thereof. After 60 days, one may be further detained for a period of two years each, to be approved by the Minister of Home Affairs, thus making indefinite detention without trial. -Gerak

Introduced in 1960, the ISA was drafted at a time when the nation was emerging from the Emergency. The government was winding up the Emergency but there were still some communist activities. The Act was created at a time in Malayan history when the judicial process was deemed incapable of prosecuting communists suspected of violence because people were afraid to give evidence for fear of their lives. Correct correct correct...

Now? the government is using it to ''protect'', detain people that have police reports lodge against them, people that protest for their own right as a Malaysian, and even telling the truth to expose sins of the government. What an Act rite? so many uses, so convenient for the goverment to detain anyone for the vague crime of "threatening national security".

First was the Hindraf 5 which was label a terrorist at first, then the Chinese reporter for reporting the truth and detain for her own ''safety'', Teresa Kok MP of Seputeh for stoking religious tensions, Raja Petra for being a Hero, and a blogger for proposing to fly the Malaysian Flag upside down.

Is all this people a threat to the security Malaysia? A threat to whose security, exactly who?

Now Raja Petra is detained at Kamunting for 2 year for exposing corruptions. The Government was satisfied there were "strong grounds" for him to be further detained. If it is so strong, what is stopping the government from charging Raja Petra in court?

Remember Ahmad Ismail? He was stoking racial tension, with his chinese ''squatter'' remarks. What happen to him? Nothing much actually just some banned being an UMNO member, he still get to go shopping during Malaysia Year End Sales and still get to eat good food at Gurney Road. Raja Petra? stuck at Kamunting, can he even order MCd delivery?? Why wasn't Ahmad Ismail detain under ISA? MCA and Gerakan was complaing about him, who was complaining about Teresa Kok?

What can i say now is you can imprison a person but not their ideas or what they stand for.
Stay strong ISA detainees.

26 Setempber, nothing happen yet to the present goverment. Crossovers elek. You know what i think, i think all the MPs that are planning to crossover, just step down now and not wait for Mr. Anwar. But being a BN member of parliament i think they wont want to lose thier benefits and also retirement benefit, so i guess this won't happen.

There can be no reform or justice until the ISA is dump into an incinerator.
Arghhhh...I'm so angry now, that if i had Gamma Radiation. We so going to have a Smashin good time.

debates, talks, reports, arguments and more controversy. Amidst all this hyped, possibility of defections by BN members of Parliament to the other side remains a possibility.

I am kinda against the takeover, in this form I mean. The crossovers is not the most ideal way to for a new government. Its unethical, i know you would argue that the present BN government is lagi unethical, with their racial politics, democratic abuses and corruptions. But the Pakatan Rakyat suppose to bring in a "wind of change", A new Dawn for Malaysia, A better Malaysia for all Malaysian.

The reason to crossover is right and good, the way is wrong and bad. The ideal way, in my opinion is that the MPs that wants to crossover step down and stand for a by-election. Let the people choose again. They were elected MPs when the were under the BN banner, and people voted for them meaning they also voted for BN(some). So to crossover now to Pakatan would be unprofessional and disloyal to the people that voted for them.

Crossovers it may happen, or it may not. But if it does, please find the ideal way. For me the reform must come, the goverment must be change. Our Prime Minister is a good man and a good prime minister but if the people around him is... Shits happens.

Anyway why is Pakatan in such a hurry? Is it so easy to manage and run a country? The only person with experience in my opinion is Mr.Anwar himself. If they get to form the new government, what about all the shits that the current government left over. Who's going to be responsible? Whatever it is, just pray for God's wisdom. Let it be God's will.

Was at KLPac for the opening night for Christopher Ling, Love & Beauty - The Sonnets of William Shakespeare.
The play is based on their own interpretation of 21 different sonnets i think.

One man considers the merits of love and beauty in the course of one night. Sometimes whimsical and funny, at other times poignant and sad, Love & Beauty presents the timeless sonnets of William Shakespeare in a heady mix of musings, music and multimedia. -The Curious Residency.

For me the play was only okie, The funny wasn't funny enough, the witty wasn't witty enough, the sad also wasn't sad enough. The characters was kinda weak, did not really show. Or maybe cause i don't understand. But the way the play was done was really cool though, something new to me. With a multi-sensory performances, Text on screen, Video, Music, Dancing and the the acting. It was sure a complex and cool play. Could have be better, but i would still recommend everyone to watch it.

In Malaysia, Home and Culture Ministries to formulate RACE RELATIONS ACT, a law to unite us all. For What? I didn't know we had a problem, or maybe I'm ignorant. I know we may have different color skin but we still breath in the same haze prone air, drink the same brownish water, use the same pothole ridden road, and of cause bleed the same red color blood... I think the Act will only remind people of differences. What with tolerance anyway? everyone is asking us to tolerate each other, why can't we just accept each and everyone as a unique being. why?

Its take 14 days notice to organize an emergency Parliament meeting. For What? dont they understand the meaning of EMERGENCY?

Definition - It's easy to talk about something but harder to actually do it.

September 17, nothing happen yet. Mr. Anwar, I understand the delay, but there are people you need to freed.

Don't be like the current Government. talk so much, much more disappointments. The best thing they did so far in my opinion is lowering the fuel subsidy. I guess you would be like what the hell. why?

My reasoning are:

1. Most Malaysian are good at wasting stuff. exp. food, money, water, electricity... Now with the cost-of-living has risen by let says 30%+, Reality has smack us, hard. We now save.

2. More Malaysian using the ~~efficient~~ public transport or car pooling. Meaning? Less traffic, less pollution.

3. The government got more financial power to help the needy and develop the country, of cause if the money save don't go into corruption.

4. Fuel being a non renewable energy, saving it for future generation. would be nice.

But with the lower subsidy. The government need to make sure the public transport is efficient, take our nearest neighbor Singapore as an example. In Singapore you can get anywhere on-time with a public transport. The needy need to paid more, or something. Maybe the rich people driving super big car, be tax more and the money pass to the poor. Just my humble opinion. Me not economist.

Unrelated to Malaysia, People remember to talk is cheap...so don't make empty promises. It hurts. Also talking constantly, isn't necessarily communicating...

i'm so use to hear your promises, that never come to pass. =(

The police have arrested an opposition politician(DAP leader Teresa Kok), a prominent blogger(Raja Petra Kamaruddin) and a journalist from Sin Chew, according to officials and reports, in a sudden crackdown as the opposition plots to seize power.

“This is the start of a major crackdown. We are seeing Abdullah flexing his
muscle to show he can be a strong leader,” said James Chin, a political science
professor at Monash university in Malaysia.

Lim Guan Eng, secretary-general of the another opposition party, the Democratic Action Party, called the arrests “a travesty of justice.”
“It's a desperate act to cling on to power,” said Lim.

This is what Adidas tag line really means. Rempit-rempit sekalian(my BM correct ah?) in your face. I just love India. Great food, super smart people and this person. The way they speak also sound so cool. =P

Random thoughts.

I use to think that it would be impossible to love anyone else other than her. But I guess there are limit of how much pain and hurt a person can take. For people that are patiently waiting, stop soon. It takes 2 hands to clap, it takes 2 to tango... There is no point waiting if the other person don't want to. Find someone that wants to, and make sure both party enjoy clapping and tangoing. Don't go find some substitute or some rebound person, cause clapping any other part of your body is not clapping anymore, it's hitting yourself.

If you insist of waiting then please do wait. Look back what went wrong the first time, make sure you do something about it and at the same time be a better person. Getting help from her/his friends are good ways to change her mind too. Make sure you can accept the fact that the other person may have move on or worse in a new relationship. Don't be a dog, like begging and getting into self pity, the other person is looking for a relationship not a pet.

Just remember ''impossible is nothing'' but don't be stupid and hurt yourself. Give yourself or someone else a chance. Sunshine might shine brighter and warmer the next time.

Just watch the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), A dark comedy for anyone with a past they would rather forget. Its a sort of science fiction romance story that explore the element of love and memory. The story take you on a journey with a couple trying to get their failed relationship memory erase.
Its also based on the following quote from an Alexander Pope poem:

How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd

that's what birthday boy said to me on his bed...haha...don't simply imagine lar. Chiew Ming always converse in mandarin with me, but just now when i wanted to wake him up to drink water, he talk english. haha...this is the magic of alcohol. Alcohol a general term for any organic compound in which a hydroxyl group (-OH) is bound to a carbon atom, which in turn may be bound to other carbon atoms and further hydrogens.I have since people turn into Yoga master, Pole dancer(guy), Table top dancer and so on...after cosumption. haha.

Anyway it was chiew ming birthday today and we went to Sids@TTDI for some drinks and some shot for him. Wanted to go for mamak after that...but he could not make it =P

Today is the end of my internship officially, cause i will still be going back there next week to finish some stuff. Now its time to get some rest, after that slog it out and churn out a 20+ page final report, to show the university the work i done and what i have learn from the internship. Its kinda stupid the way the uni is evaluating the internship, its 60% for final report and 40% evaluation by your bosses. Meaning if you darn good at crapping in your final report, you most probably still can get really good marks even if you suck at work.

I'm really really going to miss the place, the people there are simply amazing to work and hang out with. They treat work really seriously and the same goes with play...hehe. This short and sweet journey in Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia have taught me so much about advertising and also working life. I have grown and matured so much there. Can never thank them enough for this great oppurnity to intern there. Memory i will cherish forever. Lesson i will remember forever. My lovemark is Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia.

Posting from a far away place called Sungai Long@Norman's place. Actually its not that far, it just seems that way. Went to Cathay@Curve to catch a midnight movie yesterday, Babylon A.D. Was to tired to drive back, so me here crashing using his laptop while he sleeping behind me.

Aurora: Are you a killer, Mr. Toorop?
Toorop: Yes. Now please, get into the car.

In this post-apocalyptic thriller, Toorop (Vin Diesel) is a mercenary who is hired by a fat Russian to escort a woman named Aurora(Melaine Thierry) while Sister Rebeka(Michelle Yeoh) Aurora ''mom'' tag along from Central Asia to New York City. While he thinks this is just an ordinary mission, he gradually finds out that Aurora is more than she appears, and is carrying something that have the potential to become the next Messiahs for some weird religion name Neolite who wants to be the dominate religion. And everyone else wants to get a hold on her to. Along the way, action ensues with some really amazing stunts and gun battles.

Overall this is a pretty good movie and is definitely worth seeing for the action scenes. I really like how the Director portrays the future. If you been hearing that the ending is horrible, its abit of an anti-climax with such a great beginning...but don't worry it's decent at worst compare to a lot of other Movies out there now.

...only for a limited period only(rush hour). Actually its been here for awhile, its called the Malaysian Public Transportation. Today I decided to take the LRT to KLCC in the morning to avoid the traffic jam. I was like at the Taman Bahagia Station at 7.15 am, and boarded the train. It was already almost full, thank goodness i boarded at Taman Bahagia because the next station, Crap...there was lines of people to get in the train, that is when I started to feel like canned tuna. People was just forcing themselves into the train, i didn't have to hold on anything, because i couldn't move anyway. =P Another thing is the train was especially quiet, i thought Malaysian were one of the friendliest people around?? I could even hear music from the person MP3 player few feet away from me.

Thanks goodess our beloved Prime Minister of Malaysia recently decided to try it out first hand, how it feel like using the superbly flawed and over crowded public transportation. So now, he is force to do something about it, cause he just open a can of worms. If he dont improve it soon, its going to be bad for his PR, which by the way been going down the drain...with the rain water...
Today is also the last day of the ''lovemarks'' training. It was really an eye blowing(because some of the things they did with lovemarks brands was crazy), mind opening(I learned to see things in a different light) session. I learned so much about brands and how to understand people(consumer), but now comes the hard part putting it into practice and remembering it... Thank You Saatchi, you are my Lovemark.

Today i went for the play ''after our's'' directed by Helena Foo presented by KLPac. Its the 1st show of the 3 part series of The Curious Residency. The link here.

synopsis:
After Our's is an edgy relationship comedy about several couples from all walks of life having troubled conversations. A humorous yet honest look at the complexity of modern day relationships, through witty dialogue and compromising situations, the play takes us from the beginning of a relationship to the aftermath of one, examining every stage in between the drama, heartache and confusion.

The play was really quite explicit and vulgar at some part, but its still really good and funny. Acting was great as usual.

What i learned from it?? haha...sometime being an Asshole is a gift. =P and Love is like a guessing game, sometime you get it right and you get a fairytale ending that goes like..they live happily ever after. If you get it wrong, welcome yourself to Nightmare at Elm Street.
Love is like standing on the edge of the water and you decide to jump, without knowing whether its shallow or deep when you reach the bottom. Smash...ouch, paralyse from the neck down if its shallow. If its deep, welcome to a whole new world under the sea, you may find Nemo, SpongeBob, may even get to swim with little mermaid or if the shallow water didnt get you, meet Jaws and if you are lucky hop away with a missing leg...
Love is like those carnival games, some games where everyone wins and some game only the luckiest or most talented wins. The games everyone wins but the prize is just a lousy plastic key chain, its like lust at first sight and after sex...its end there. The game that only the luckiest or most talented win..thats love where two people meet and sparks fly and they work hard to keep it that way. Its like wining the biggest prize at the carnival. A big stuffed Hippopotamus?

Most memorable Olympic by far, haha...but i only started showing interest during Athens 2004 so this is only the second Olympic i followed closely. To see China's rise and its ongoing transformation from what i knew about China till the Olympic now is a amazing journey and achievement for China..from a communist state to a dunno what state now...in my opinion. With their amazing architectural marvels like the Bird Nest and Bubbles thingy, AmaZing!!! The amount of volunteers involve, just crazy. Not to mention those beautiful, tall and slender board bearers(holding the white board with the country name on it).

To the sports, our hero Lee Chong Wei, winning the first silver medal for singles badminton. Congratulations Datuk. It was kinda let down though for me, to lose so tamely. My Malaysian Hero would be Cyclist Azizul Hasni Awang. Super cool wheelie to make the quarter final but ended with a rousing sprint against world champion Chris Hoy in the individual quarterfinals. Cheers to you Azizul...

Ulsain Bolt..the lighting bolt. Left all his competitors behind, them wondering what just bolt pass..haha.. Just can't stand him celebrating before the finishing line, showboating is okie..but celebrating before you finish?? show some respect lar... A great runner anyway.

Went around Poppy Garden to, A place with loud R&B music and beautiful people... the place even have a pool, that makes people sexier & hotter after going for a dip in the water.(didn't work for you though Justin) =P Party till it close at 3am, drink till close lar...for me to be exact cos not like i know how to Move it...Move it...

That was the premiere i went to at Cineleisure@Damansara, Thanks to LeePoh. The movie is so so only, unless you like over the top mayhem, gore, blood and destructions. The storyline is there, the car look like car from a junkyard with guns on it. The only thing i got from it is a new wallpaper for my computer picture of "Case" play by Natalie Martinez, the navigator for Jason. Sizzling...

internship is ending soon, final report due after the soon. i think i learn much more about advertising during my almost 3 months internship than 2 years plus in the university. I learn a lot about advertising rules and mass comm theories in uni but nothing compare to real life experiences in an ad agency. So please choose wisely when applying for internship, choose a company that you think which give you the best training. Don't settle for second best. To tell you the truth I was darn fortunate to get into the agency i am interning now, cant thank them enough for giving me this opportunity to learn and build friendship with amazing people. Thank you.

This few week was really happening for me, been meeting up with friend that i never seen for awhile now. Watch short+ sweet Malaysia 2008 at KLPAC...it was Awesome. Watch movies like 4BIA, its the funniest Thai horror movie i seen....aik aik aikkkk........... Today was Penelope, fairy tale+modern+love story kinda movie... typical should bring your gf and watch...haha...thanks to my friend sweet sweet i get to watch the premiere. eating at boathouse@TTDI. Last Friday was my big boss farewell, also known as Viking Warlord, i dunno why...but its not because he came from the land of the vikings thats for sure, cause he from the land of the All Black and the haka... Boathouse@TTDI is a cosy neighborhood restaurant, that served a extensive range of Western delicacies (i use delicacies cause it look like dishes you on a high class cook show) to Local delights. The dishes i ate were all great. raw beef was weird though... The beer...simply refreshing.. =P

Later was an office farewell party with more booze and a screening of a video of his time in the company, and what people will miss about him.

Aliyaa Bar & Restaurant was the after party, nice place with a good live band. Skyy Vodka..is Awesome....
Highlight of the night was, my big boss introducing me to the company regional creative director, and telling him that he see in me the same passion for advertising as him. WoW...me having the same passion as the regional creative director...WOW...

Short+Sweet Malaysia 2008

There's a virus a-blowing in this direction - the wildly successful 10-minute theatre festival which kicked off in Sydney 8 years ago has terrorised Melbourne and Singapore and is making its way to Kuala Lumpur!

Over two weeks, Short+Sweet Malaysia 2008 will premiere 30 all-new, 10-minute plays, a showcase of bite-sized dramatic treats by some of the best established and emerging writers, directors and talents in Malaysia and across the globe. Competition will be fierce as the panel of industry judges will select which plays get a spot in the Gala Final. Audiences will also get to vote for their favourite play to put it in the running for the People's Choice Award!

Comedy, tragedy, mystery, suspense and maybe even the odd bit of food thrown in, it's high-drama 10 minutes at a time! Quite frankly, we wouldn't have it any other way...

I went for it today, its the premier. It was money well spend, i think i didn't pay enough... Yes its that good, you wouldn't mind paying more. The acting was superb, the emotion the actor showed was so real you could feel it. The voice projection, the witty lines, the jokes, wooohoo..the swearing..it makes swearing sound so elegant(serious). Even though it's short plays, every single play was 101% satisfaction. Drama at its best...

I highly recommend you all not to miss it.

eight weeks into my internship... Advertising isn't everything i have imagine, maybe i had a really high expectations or maybe i am in the wrong line again. But studying advertising was the only time i felt happy studying, happy doing assignments. Its a dream come true for me to have my internship in the current company. But maybe this is just an internship, so i may have not experience what advertising is really all about. Its fun and working is great, but it feel as in something is missing. Maybe i should try event management or maybe PR...i dunno... lost again =P

Last weekend was really great, very contrasting. Drinking Friday, Partying Saturday, and a Butoh dance on Sunday. Will blog about it soon, when i am in the mood..hehe...

Half way through my internship, i think. Enjoying myself with the work and of cause the play. Learning lots, partying quite a lot too..hehe. My bosses RoCks!!! They so nice, even though i get scold sometime but they still the best, they always make sure i learn something. Getting quite bored with the food around my work place though. haha..thats remind me, i want my ''Malaysian FOod" i don't want to go try other cuisines. I form a new metaphor today, i think its call a metaphor. You know when you see something the first time and its like WTF..so cacat, but after a while it become more and more pretty or yeng? i call that like a Vios. haha...the new Vios...

Superb execution of a great idea in my opinion, but maybe a bit more information on what the campaign about, whats unicef doing or even a website would have been better. Still i think it would bring the $$$ in, I'm sure everyone don't mind parting with their changes for a good cause. An almost similar idea but not here.

To demonstrate DHL’s inexplicable ability to deliver on time regardless of conditions, this outdoor piece dominated MTR escalators across Hong Kong. The areas either side and between the escalators were covered with giant bird’s-eye view of Hong Kong highway jam-packed with stationary traffic. The moving handrails then acted as a fast lane with a steady flow of little yellow DHL vans racing past.

36 days into my internship. Its been quite a hectic week, working through the weekend. Doing market visit in Mid Valley and also grocery store nearby my place on Sunday, lucky i got my intern friend "Nurul" to accompany me. Thanks boss =P

What i have done so far? consumer insight->understanding the consumer, how to reach them. competitor analysis->knowing what the competitors are doing and why. research on major brands-> understanding and knowing how brand make themselves so popular and profitable.
interviewing people on the streets->finding out consumer insight. writing job write/creative requisition->account side informing creative what to do. and a whole loads of research and research and research... its great though..lolx

i still can't put the experiences there in words... but i am really learning a lot and having a lot of fun too. even with the some late nights and also weekends.

its been almost 9 months... and things seems to be getting worse. why? i trying my best to fix it and laying down my heart. but nothing seems to work. why? things i have learn 1. always show your appreciation, and make sure the person know it. 2. always make sure the person you love know you feel that way. if not things will sound like that, i dont feel your love anymore=break up. now i know you really did love me but its too late, the feeling is not there anymore=broken heart.

An amazing pain killer, if they only had one for the heart.

Mine didn't trigger the reflex reaction fast enough, its been 8 months. Its still $%#@!@# PAIN. I really never thought it would happen again, i mean not so soon. Its been the second time, it turn out to be a lie, for someone that hate untrustworthy people, to be so fickle(nicer word to say lying) its just sad. Lying straight in my face, whats the point? Whats with bringing them for trips anyway??

Its been a week since i started my internship, and it's been an amazing experience. Everyday is a new day, new things to learn every moment. I LOVE my internship. =) The adrenalin rush of doing the work is just wonderful. Even though it sounds mundane like research, tear sheets, photostating... Sometime the pressure is there, but it makes me want to give more and do better, But sometime its just suck, when i can't give my bosses what they want, giving them work thats are at the borderline of okie work or worse not good enough, the feeling just suck so badly. I want to give them work thats good or if best great...

I am trying best to absorb everything i can learn from all the great people there and give them my best to repay their trust. Everyone in the agency is just so nice and great, you would feel guilty giving them normal work.

I bought a book on Saturday by Luke Sullivan its call ''HEY WHIPPLE, SQUEEZE THIS.". Its a book about creating Great Advertising. Why I bought the book?? I don't want to create great ads actually, i just want to be a part of creating great advertising and books about advertising turn me on. =P

This is the story of a boy that found his passion and is enjoying every given minutes.

Its was a dark and cold afternoon(raining heavily), the university entrance form was in front of him. Following the guide to fill in the form, he carefully fill in the information needed. Then come the hard part, What course does he want to study for 3 year of his life. Blank was his mind, even though he has only 4 different courses he could take with his Crap result. One course was totally out of the question, so 3 was in the question. Still he could not answer, so when to his room and started to ask God, what he should study and told God its up to him to decide. So with the prayer done, he finish filling the form in this manner :1st PR 2nd Advertising 3d Broadcasting.

In the first semester there is where he fell in love with advertising. The textbook, the ads in the newspaper, tv, radio(a little lar), magazine, online, billboard... To be exact it was the copy writing in ads. He so wanted to be a copywriter then until he saw the awards show for advertising like Kancils in Malaysia, Cannes, D&AD, AdFest... Its was imposible to write ads like those, its just too F&^*$%@ Amazing. As time passes his love for advertising grew to the whole process of coming out with ads, from meeting the clients to the media. His favorite type of advertising is Viral.

Advertising to him is touching the heart of a person.
In the real world it is making a person buy something he/she may not need, with money she/he may not have. =P

Now his here. In a dream job that he look forward to everyday.

Been doing some read up on target audience(consumer you want to sell your stuff to). Its all about the Demographics and Psychographics of the target. Demographics meaning a population characteristics, like gender, age, location and... Psychographics is the interesting one and the most important. For Marketers to make sure their products or services is what people want or need and for Advertisers to make sure the advertisement appeals to the audiences.
Psychographics is the understanding of people very different perceptions about the benefits or value of your product and will be motivated for different reasons. It not only about WHO buys (or Will buy) your product, but what makes them WANT to buy it. Its about buying behavior, spending pattern, are they brand loyal?, do free gifts turn them on?, health conscious, clean freak, go green type of people, environmentalist, the list go on and on and on... Its how they think and behave basically.

I cant just stop telling you how important is getting your target audience right. Its makes things so much easier. If its right, means you write to someone that read, you sell to someone that buys. It is getting the job done.

On psychographics again, we have this thing call psychographic profiles/group. Like the Yuppie(young upwardly-mobile professional), DINKY(Dual Income, No Kids Yet), Scuppie(Socially Conscious Upwardly-Mobile Person) and lots and lots more....(google it if you want to know more =P)
Also the bigger groups like Baby Boomer, Gen-X(Baby Bust), Gen-Y(Echo Boom), and now Gen-Z(internet generation).

Generation-Y or Echo BOom is my generation.The term Echo Boom is use i guess because most of Gen-Y is the kids of the Baby Boomer, so that why the Echo.
Here is something to think about, taken from wikipedia.

94% own a cell phone
76% use Instant Messaging.

With 85 million baby boomers and 50 million Gen-Xers, there is a wide generation gap among them in their ideas of work and life balance. For baby boomers(some of our parent and all of our grandparent), it's the juggling act between job and family. For Gen-X(some of our parent and old people=P), it means moving in and out of job to get more money accommodating kids and other interests. Now along come the 76 million of Gen-Y(us). For us the line between a job and a home doesn't really exist right?. We just want to spend our time doing something we love, we are passionate about, thats meaningful and useful no matter where we are right? Like now I am at home blogging and my part-time work is photography which i love. so what work? what job?

We are like the most important generation for marketers and advertiser alike. like the baby boomer of yesteryear we are booming now. Marketers alike are banging wall thinking of way to get us to buy. Traditional way of marketing is just not working its magic anymore. Advertisers have to work harder to wave their magic wand. Magical Amazing ads doesn't mean sure sell anymore either. Just my opinion, i may be dead wrong, don't shoot me.

Last weekend highlight was a photo walk with the KLickr gang. around central market. Its was a sketch outing actually, but i can't sketch to save my life. Maybe stick man can lor. Met up at Annexe Nasi Kandar for breakfast, after that was the walk around to find something for them to sketch. JOHOR BARU, May 17 ─ Desperate times call for desperate measures. So Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today played the race card ─ something the former prime minister has not done since he was a young, upstart Umno politician in the 1960s.
He warned the Malays that they stood to lose much in the new political environment where the non-Malays were unafraid to make demands.

“If we don’t speak up, if we choose to keep quiet, we will lose our rights and the other races will take over,” he told some 1,000 people at a gathering in Johor Baru. (themalaysianinsider)

I woke up with a nightmare today. %*&# ish... Its stupid. i dreamed about taking a mathematic exam in uni and was going to fail. Then i wanted to try to copy but the invigilators accuse me copying before i even started copying. what nonsense right?? haha..then they check the answers paper of the students around me, so they confirm i wasn't cheating they let me continue with the exam with extra time. hehe..after awhile the invigilator ask me go yamcha say don't waste her time d, i told her i cant cause this will be the first time i fail if i don't finish the paper. Then i realize i don't take maths in uni so i woke up. the end =P

Last night was the first day of 95% training, my second module(Strategist in Progress). Training was a brief introduction about ourself, trainer included. Who am I, What am I, What am I doing now and Why am I here and the introduction of Advertising, Marketing and A strategy.

After training went and pick my always MIA friend Norman and headed to another friends Bar in Crystal Crown hotel. Ace Club. Its Vimal bar by the way. He got us a jug of Tiger, half way talking he say we needed to try his ''Ace Club Special" a Shooter cause Norman been missing too long. So punishment. The drink taste like medicine, but really strong, you could feel the throat burning. So he made us another drink ''Long Island Tea''. Wow its nice, really taste like tea. its a sweet and slightly sour taste as you drink it, and the after taste is bitter just like tea. So the drink you always drink thats sweet all the way, ain't the real thing. So try one in AceClub. Later on i told Vimal i was tired and wanted to make a move, so you guess he made us another drink that suppose to wake me up. Another Shooter with Flame, A B-52. Yea it did wake me up for a while, then i got tipsy. So decided to go back anyway..haha. Thanks bro for the great night and awesome drinks.

This what i did during the weekend. First was shooting fruits at Johan place, he set up a mini studio. To do some test shot for his work the next day, shooting fruits for a book. I got to use the Nikkor 105 micro VR lens, superb lens but focusing a bit the hard.

On Sunday was the KLickr photo/makan walk. First we met up at KTM station for breakfast, while we waited for the rest. We proceed to Majestic hotel KL opposite the KTM station. Nice abandon building. There guards there so they didn't allow us to get in, so we shot the building next to it. After that was food and drink at Central Market.

the weekend was both exciting and unlucky. Why unlucky? I had a bad tooth ache during the photo walk and i realize i lost my wallet when i got home from the walk in KL. Just went to the dentist this morning and he gave me 2 option extract the teeth or do a root canal. I chose the latter. Extract cost rm55, root canal cost rm400. haha..so i call my dad and ask how, he chose the latter too. Thank God. A missing tooth wont not look so nice on me.

To local news, do you all know that our National Service (NS) have claim 16 life to date and 15 of them is because of delayed medical treatment. What are the medical officer doing? or there are no such things? The deputy prime minister said last Saturday that the government will outsource health check-ups for the NS trainees. I don't understand why. Is he implying that government hospital and clinic are incompetent to do it or just trying to earn more under table money? This is just so saddening and disappointing, the trainees have so much to live for, and to be taken away so young. To the government please please do something... (Report here)

lolx...not exactly but i can climb walls just like Spiderman, with some ropes, harness and safely gears though. hehe.. Went rock climbing on Thursday at Summit Subang, Nomad Adventure. With my uni mates,8 of us. Veron was our official photographer of they day so she didn't climb, she was too sexy to climb anyway =P. Climbing is really fun and quite tiring. The strain on the arm and hands are quite hard. My hands couldn't do much after we were done, but it was worth the pain. Its cost around rm33 for your first time because of the introduction and training for the first timer. Next time it will be around rm18, for the rental of gears and entrances fee. Care to join for the next one?

We finish around 6. So it was like in time for the infamous KL Jam. So we decided to take dinner at Mamak Village that suppose to serve the best Assam Laksa and Curry Mee from MidValley. What a coned job...its tasted like below ok. I thought advertising suppose to tell the truth...ish. After dinner it was still jam so we went and watch.
Iron man. Prepare yourself for a fun ride. Starting from the character evolution from war profiteer to man of action and cause, from Tony Stark with no superhuman abilities besides his brain to Super Hero Iron Man. Every stage of the evolution is shown from failure to success, from the first suite to the upgraded one. The computer generated Image (CGI) is simply jaw dropping. from the iron man creation, flying to the fight scenes. The movie ain't perfect, it could have done better in certain parts like the dance scene with Tony and Pepper and of cause the last fight scenes. But definitely still worth to watch on the big screen. So catch iron man soon before he jet off. watch till the movie staff chase you out, cause theres a hidden scene maybe not hidden but still a scene after the credits. Cheers!!!

today is the last day of my exam and the first day of my holiday. WooHoo...hehe. Right after exam was futsal with my friends. Injure myself again..kinda common nowadays with this new Nike shoe. I miss my Adidas. Night was a mini meet up with KL Flickr groups. Only a few of us guys were there. The meet was organize cause Adi friend came down from Saudi. He bought along a Sigma SD 14. Suppose to be a very good portrait camera with really good colors but doesn't impress me. Nikon D3 is still the best(drooling)...

The first-ever on-screen pairing of martial-arts legends Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Should be like a dream team for martial-arts fan, but it's a bit of a disappointment for me though. Guess one mountain really cant have two tiger. =P I expected more. =P Golden Sparrow is super sweet played by Crystal Liu, she only a year younger than me. The movie is like Journey to the West meets Wizard of Oz. Its a movie where you can just sit down and enjoy the fight scenes, some humor and a thin story line, not much thinking to be done.

Brought my mom to MidValley Gardens today, to watch this movie at the New GSC Signature cinema. The place is nice and classy. Bigger more comfortable sits and more expensive pop corn that taste the same. High tech washroom with automatic foam soap and automatic paper towel dispenser. lolx. Weekend it cost RM20 a ticket. Worth the money to see a smile on my mom face..money well spend though i took the money from my dad. hehe...

lolx..finally RTM comes out with something worth watching and it really quite entertaining. With the live telecast of the 12th parliament on RTM now for the first 30minutes. Staring "Big Foot" and "Big Monkey". Reality TV Malaysian style, Amazing Race move over. Its time for our amazing MPs to show what is real entertainment. Name-calling, jeers and heckling, shouting, table thumping and the brandishing of the little blue book (Standing Orders). What a boisterous (rowdy) opening debate of the new parliament almost Zoo like. Even insulting a handicap person by asking him to stand up was part of the debate. Bias Speakers, that take order from the ruling government? No supplementary questions. Did we vote the wrong people in?? It interesting time people with so many more oppositions in the house from 20 something to 81 members now. Prepare yourself for much more lively debate and great entertainment coming your way.

Today was my second last paper. Communication theories was the subject. I learn a lot from this subject about how media works, how people react to media and how have media and the perception of media has changes with time. Global Village, Spiral of Silences, Agenda Setting, Neo-Marxist theorist is just a small part of the cool stuff i have learn from this subject. Thanks Miss Tan and Miss Ngoi for your time and patience in teaching us.

Sandisk recently did some minor changes or updates to keep their logo relevant and high tech. They remove the explosion/flash icon and added some space in between the fonts. Kept the D to to make it recognizable. A more high tech feel and modern design. Your thoughts??

...A Lamborghini’s is my dream car... Lamborghini Reventón (pronounced: reh-bent-ohn). The Reventón is named after a fighting bull and also means "he who is used to making things burst". Sure make my eyes burst in envy. Wikipedia here. I saw this car/jet a couple of times on magazines and the internet but this is the first time i saw it ''moving''. Simply Amazing..WOW WOW WoW wOw... Based on the Murcielago sport car, the Reventon is say to be inspire by the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. Every element remind me of the fighter jet from the solid Grey color, the whole steathly look, the arrow shape headlights, the front bonnet, the speedometer, the back and it even have a G-force meter. How cool is that? Since i don't have the cash or the talent to steal the car. As the threat of global warming looms over our heads like a atomic bomb dropping from the sky/ a meteor falling from space. Today is World Earth Day, 22th April (wiki here). While other people and countries world over are actively doing something and taking the challenge to help stop global warming. We as Malaysian, as penduduk of this earth, what are we doing about this very serious and dangerous issue? Some stuff people are doing to help here.

This threat is very real, the world is facing a climate change crisis. Like recently in China winter during CNY? Close to our shore is flash flood in Singapore, and a while ago the devastating tsunami that cost so many innocent life. Its so real, we have to do something now. please.

Some small step like not taking plastic bag when we make a purchase if its possible to just carry it, Recycling, get yourself four bins to separate between paper, plastic, glass and aluminum would be great. local information here. Switching to energy saving product like energy saving light bulb, energy saving electronic product with the ''Energy Star'' logo and water-saving pipe or shower head are just some of the energy saving product. Use public transportation if possible =P. Try to tahan some heat by not switching on your air-con and use fan only. Any more step people?

So with some ideas i given, doing something would be nice. What did you all did for earth day? Cheers.

I have. I having that feeling, that urge now. But the pain is, it doesn't matter how much you give up, how much you sacrifice. It just won't happen.

It was a hot afternoon, sweating all over finish my athletic training. At the canteen, quenching my thirst. A girl walk pass, my eyes open wide. Cuci mata. Following the girl as she walks by (not in a hamsap way =P). It was love at first sight or maybe lust at first sight.lolx. Anyhow I needed to know the girl, started to ask around. But it seems no one seems to know. In the 21st century, no worries. Everyone was on Friendster right? So I decided to look for the girl online. I found her, my heart skip a beat. She was simply stunning or maybe very photogenic, whatever is it she amazingly beautiful. My eyes weren't bluffing in the hot afternoon and I was dead tired then. It took me some courage to send her a message, asking if I could add her. She accepted, I tried to be smooth, hehe...we traded a couple of message and I decided to take it to the next step. Act stupid and said that I don't like using Friendster, so we should meet in school. lolx. First time meeting her, my palms were sweating and I was crazily nervous. But she was nice and friendly. We talk and we talk and I got her number. Things seem to take off after that, we went out, we ate together, we watch movie, we... Chemistry seems such a wonderful subject then, everything was mix right and seems to make sense. Atoms, protons and neutrons just seems to add up....sparks fly, love explode??

Almost 3 great years were spent with you. It was a wonderful dream come true. Flying in the sky so high. Never was there a dull moment. Every moment spend with you was like a taste of heaven on earth. Every word you spoke were like words from a lip of an angel. Everything you did seemed so right. If i lacked something, you filled that void in me. It was the best time in my life, You were the best thing that happen to me that time. Life was so much more beautiful the day i met you. I thought we were forever. I wish we were forever.

But then I took you for granted, I made stupid mistakes. Thought lying to you so you won’t get jealous, was no big deal. I was dead wrong. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry i caused those tears to flow down from your cheeks , sorry was the extra breath you needed to shout at me. I'm sorry for the sleepless night I gave you. study group was quite a failure, nobody prepare. really sorry group member. 4.30pm i was off to work. reach Park Royal hotel around 5.20pm. its a 5 star hotel according to the staffs there. Brought our equipments to the orchid club where the event was held. Set up the flash did some test shot, later did some test print. the photos taken were immediately print on the spot for the event.

the event is the grand opening of the orchid club in park royal hotel. the club is like a service for guests, that offer something extraordinary. it like traders club in traders hotel? Before the event started, they let us eat the hotel buffet down stair. i was expecting some normal place or something since we working for them. But no..it was like WOw. 7 days to final exam. I should be studying or at least arrange my notes to get ready to study. But no, paikia had other plan, he woke up at 7.50am got ready and left to KL, Ampwalk at Jalan Ampang. Studio 807 to be exact. His friend studio, had breakfast and left to Batu Arang town in Selangor for a photo walk.

Batu Arang town was a significant mining town long time ago, contributing coal for the railway systems in Peninsula Malaysia and economic in Selangor. It also produce high quality bricks. some info here.

Reach around 12pm, had a teh ping in the only kopitiam available. It was really busy with Chinese and Indians having their lunch. While having our drink we chatted with the local penduduk about the mining town. The local had a really amazing story about a flying object with red and blue light that wasn't a plane flying in the sky last weekend. a UFO maybe??

the place now, have a few military installations. So it quite weird in a way. An almost ghost town with military present?? sound fishy. Area 51?? X-files?? lolx. SME ordinance (manufacturing Arms), Tenaga Kimia (some chemical manufacturing facility) and a military research center. Sound high tech and super scary right?? with the UFO sighting from the local some more.

after the kopitiam, we when to visit the old quarters for the mining workers, a black color lake (how cool is that? its really black), an open mining area that now fill with water making it a big lake, outside of a brick factory( they were taking it down so we didn't get in.) =( and the entrance of the military installations.

the old quarters, some of them were falling apart.it was really small with only 1 room and had names of the occupant in the down too. The black lake was really scary, it had fast or big under current so its really dangerous and had weird ripple coming from the middle of it (pumping waste into it??). Open mining area was the a big lake with a path of land leading right into the middle, so we manage to walk right to the middle of the lake. Brick factory was saddening, my friend manage to take photos before this and it was really nice. but now they are tearing it down, I don't have the chance to take photos. Military installations was normal I guess, don't know what they doing inside though, it really secretive. The arms manufacturing facility had underground bunker or something I think, cause I saw shelters with ventilation systems.

after that we left for the studio, my friend taught me some really cool stuff in converting B&W photos in photoshop and I became a model again. we tried some shot with white back ground. Felt like I was doing some CK advertisement. lolx drug addict shots, with my bamboo/kayu like body.

What an exciting day. Thank God. Suppose to pick a friend up at Pudu today, but...

doubt the power logo design or branding?? not anymore. Bet all of you can recognize every logo, maybe not the first one, cause i also dunno. paiseh. anyone know what the original brand for the first logo? The visual of the typography is just too good too famous even with different letter its still so recognizable. So people do invest when you start your corporate identity design. This proof how great logo design and branding works wonders.

Discovery Channel finally decided to change their old and weird looking globe logo. Comes with a new tag line too ''the world is just awesome''. I like the style of the new typo, it give such a modern, futuristic look. But the R and Y like got something not right there, don't know how to explain. The new Globe also looks better, but i dont really fancy the globe being place there though, off center don't work for me. just my 1cent. Now that the place the globe together with the D, i guess they can just use the D for branding. rite?

in a blink of an eyes, things change, people grow up, feeling change, people move on. have you ever notice we get caught up with so many things in life, we missed those important moments that we never knew about it until it past. how many wonderful fulfilling moments have you miss? because you were occupied with things of this world that may or may not bring any benefit to you or the people around you. I am guilty of missing many moments in life. So people, slow down, smell the flowers, hear the breeze, taste the food and see God wonderful creation. hear when you listening and look when you seeing.

people please appreciate the people around you, the time given to you. things don't last forever. this I constantly have to keep in mind, I do lose touch sometimes.

today is the last day of class, next week is study week, and the next final exam. this is just to fast. I don't even know what i have been studying this 14 weeks. =(

3 print advertisement for a family.

Each ads have different target audience. ''the wife'' is for husband, "the husband" for wife and "the kid" for parent. Even though target audience are different the message and idea is still the same, that Genie bulb is the right one for everyone. The copy could be shorter. I realize that the first part of the copy is repeating the visual of the ad.

This is my favorite, Its a simple yet direct and indirect ad. complicated? haha...its Direct in telling the target audience that Genie is a bright light and Indirectly saying that other brands of light are dim/not as bright as Genie. The difference is white part is lighted up by Genie, the rest of the newspaper by Brand X light bulb. Get it? So this is comparison ad that don't put X brand in it.

transit station ads

The above ad will be place in bus stop, train stop, airport and so on. Its an eye test. the area where the ad will be place will be slightly dimmer, so that it will be quite hard to read the bottom copy, that ask you to change your light bulb to Genie. A simple and straight forward ad that uses curiously of target audience. That a secret in the ad, can you find it? =P

outdoor

An outdoor ad place in front of a beautiful lighted area like KLCC or Kek Lok Sis in Pinang. Its uses the beautiful light to pass the message that Philips light the world around you.

The movie was pretty good. the company was greater. It had lots of twists and turns. i was left dumbfounded at one point. i wasn't left disappointed this time. It was worth the whole RM9. The ending was great. I highly recommend it. but its kinda short though.

Qing Ming清明節, which means clear and bright in Chinese, falls on April 5th this year. For the Chinese, it is a day to remember and honor one's ancestors at the grave. Young and old will join to offer prayer to the ancestors, tombs are clean and food, tea, win, tiger, guiness are offer. stuff like bank notes, check book, passport and others are also burn so that it can get to the other side.

i visited my grandpa grave at Semenyih Memorial Park last Sunday. woke up around 6am, continue my sleep till we reach the place. place was jam up with a lot of people also visiting their dearly departed, according to my grandma Sunday was suppose to be a very good day to come, so i guess that why the jam. couldn't find the grave site, so paiseh wei. i think that why we pay so much to Nirvana, they offering really good service, they personally escorted us to the grave and also prepare big umbrella for us. left around 1pm.

my grandpa was a great man, he thought me many things. he also let me drink beer when i was young. lolx.
