woohoo....presentation..i'm back

a individual presentation today on my research proposal for my Communication Research Method(CRM). title of research: A Study on the Effectiveness of Viral Advertising in Klang Valley. its was good..i guess. i was able to give my best even though at first i was kinda nervous. while waiting for turn my heart was like beating so fast.. =P when i started my presentation i was laughing in front of the class..tell my teacher i was scare..trying to calm myself down. teacher was like saying '' i wont eat you lar, you also no meat'' lolx. when i started talking it just flow...haha..i'm back. you all that know what happen to me last year...i kinda lost my self confidence and all..was so down..everything else didnt matter accept her. but I'm back now. thank you to everyone that help me through this phase. thank you for bearing with me. haha..i know i was darn stubborn..i still am anyway. thank you very much.
back to the research proposal... Viral advertising was something i learn at aduplugged at kancil awards 2007( its a Malaysian Advertisng awards) it was an ad for BMW Mini cooper. it called ''whats in the Hercules'' i think you can find more information about it online its by BBDO Malaysia. but my favorite virals(viral advertising ads) is by the agency Droga5 , it was the clothing brand by Marc Ecko- Ecko Untld. they posted a video of someone tagging air force one and posted it on video sharing website and its spread like wild fire, the video also link you to the website www.stillfree.com. you can read more about it at Droga5 case study its on thier website. Viral advertising is something i really interested in, and think its going to be the next big thing in the Malaysia advertising scene. so watch out!!

to the election again...the BN advertisement is really getting to me. i mean i'm getting more irritated. they are really spending so much money(if they pay what normal advertiser pay ler) it like all advertising medium are use, outdoor, tv, radio, internet, print....walao....so much money meh?? All mainstream news is already about them, now my daily search for advertisement also got them(but good advertisment though like the strategy behind it)... so much money buy my vote ler?? hahahahhaa.... Can this people take a walk down KL and see how many homeless people that may not be having regular meals??

election advertisment?

saw this ads place in the Sun and the Star today..was kinda surprise. i mean the mainstream media is mostly owned by or have certain influence by the ruling party right? So mainstream news is full of articles about them doing things for us Rakyat. So why the advertisment? the more surprising was the interactive advertisment in msn.live.hotmail. VOTE FOR MALAYSIA thats show a video and link you to BN website, the ad look abit like Al-Rajhi Bank advertising campaign though. It would be nice though if Truth, Honour, Respect(Al-Rajhi Bank Slogan) is what they stand for and practice in real life. About the newspaper ad i dont really know what they trying to prove? is it a very hard thing to do to take money from sin tax, income tax and other sort of tax to subsides goods? i'm no economy student so i may be wrong but i think anyone with the power can do that and what if after the election the price of goods go up? than how? start pushing the blame?


what i want to know is what they are doing about stopping cases like Sharlinie, the Lingam case(about judiciary system in Malaysia), the fatal bus accidents, government buying overprice goods( was in the newspaper awhile back) , million dollar building project falling apart before completion, corruption and so on...

so people please vote wisely, do some research on the candidate first don't just listen to mainstream media, online media, people talking...listen to them all to have a more complete picture. if you are registered voter please vote. its our Malaysia.

the flags, the poster, the banner are all coming out now...election is coming... and i think its a waste of resources. i mean its okie to put some ler..but not every few meter(sometime next to each other) another flag,banner,poster. heard of Global Warming???
i'm a mass comm student i know repetition help to create top of mind awareness(TOMA) but we ain't blind ler( eventhough we keep seeing corruption and do nothing about it)

went and see the filming of this documentary recently and met Fahmi Reza the director.
its a much watch movie for all Malaysian(in my opinion ler). Its his firts time directing but it really a great fun to watch. his really good. the documentary is mostly about history of Putera-AMCJA fight for Malaya independence. will blog about my opinion of the history another day if i can.

10 tahun sebelum MERDEKA

time passing by too fast...

its already Feb 20 and all my assignment are still half done and some i don't even know where to start. Now doing a advertising and event campaign to promote Sloggi's autumn 08 collection (yeah the lingerie) progress seems to be good, but now I'm suppose to design some graphic item for this campaign and graphic is my weakest subject. =(

met up with some advertising people recently and it was a really great, super entertaining and informative. thanks
a summary of what i learn.
if you got good people skills and persuasion skills client management( they say don't use servicing) is what you should do.
if language is your strong point and have a flair with words or can express yourself very well with word, copy writing rocks.

i like copywriting but language is not my strong point, i can only talk but cant seems to write.

valentine was spend walking around 1utama checking out lingerie with friends...lolz..its was a very weird and interesting experience. got people just keep giving us that weird look cause there was like 4 guys and 1 girl looking at the same thing.
evening a friend drop by my place and we went for drink. its was a pleasant surprise.. thanks.
actually the whole day i was really emo..the day before valentine also the same..just remembering the moments spend together with my ex.
later at night couldn't stay at home alone anymore..thinking too much.. so call a friend and we met at GreenWood ss2..

back from the chinese new year break.

was in Kelantan from the 7th to 10th. Kelantan is really famous for their special delicacies that cannot be found elsewhere, even if you do it still would not taste as good. i ate alot of kuih, different color rice, and so on.

Tesco just open there recently and its look like everyone is going there, the whole place was jam packed. Big apple donut is also there..lolz. Kelantan was super jam up, guess the chinese new year break was for everyone..lolz..on the way there i saw more malay and indians then chinese going back, thats why Malaysia is so great, we celebrate everything together. muhibbah..hahaha.

stay at my grandma house the whole time, just waiting for relative to come visit my grandma. watch alot of free-to-air tv also, a lot of good movies was aired during cny like lord of the rings, Armageddon, haha..manage to check out alot of tv ad also.

the trip back was crazy though...a journey that usually take 8 to 9 hours took 13 hours.

now time to start work again..all the assignments. and also need to find work for my industrial training. my resume look so crappy..need to edit it again.

blogging is still so hard for me..dont really know what to write.............

finally a blog post with words. lolz. been wanting to have a blog of my own for so long but it just never materialized. i like reading blogs, its keeps entertained, up to date with the latest news and so on. and sometime its an inspiration to me too.

so i hope my blog can serve one of the purpose above.=P

here my long delay new year resolution. make it Chinese new year resolution..hehe.
making a resolution later helps also ler...because normally people that make resolution at new year will break it by February right??
so here my simple resolution.

1. do my best in my studies and also work on my assignment earlier.
2. dont spend money on unnecessary things and save money if possible.
3. read more books and write more to improve my English.
4. eat more..gain weight

one of the reason i am writing this blog is also to improve my english, so if anyone that is so kind to point out my grammar mistake, spelling and so on..its really appreciated.

its chinese new year. and i miss her so much. so many celebration without her. my birthday, Christmas, new year, her birthday, and now cny.



heading to Kelantan this afternoon, to visit my grandmother. mother side. long drive up. but the people there and the food is just amazing..hehe.
