Pekeliling

Pekeliling Flats or better known as Tunku Abdul Rahman Flats was the second high-rise apartment building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia after Suleiman Courts. It was built in 1964. The 11 blocks of the flats were located on Jalan Pekeliling (now Jalan Tun Razak) and Jalan Pahang. On 2008(but till now it;s still there), this flats will be demolished to make way for development. It will mark an end an era when public housing resembled matchboxes in which 10 people sometimes lived in a room. -from wikipedia.

so that was my latest photography journey.

so i kinda consider a graduate now. supposed to start finding for a job like now, but feeling so lazy. lazy doing what? going out everyday, taking photos, attending events about photography. photography bug bite me.

recently met up with the KLickr group for a mini meet at KLCC for dinner at Little Penang Cafe (i think the quality of food there is not so good anymore) and some shots of KLCC.

been reading up on street photography also, streets is something i really enjoy so was hoping to gain some knowledge with the reading. here is the website if you're interested.

the roadside Mamak.

Mamak a term that refer to Tamil Muslims in Malaysia or a Tamil term for maternal uncle or 'maa-ma'(taken from wikipedia). Today it's about a stall operate by them near my university. This stall has been a constant companion to me during those boring lectures, tutorials and long exam hours. Food is cheap, beverages are tasty, what else you need?
I have to say no other eatery has this much cultural significance in Malaysia, maybe the other being the KopiTiam.

so i'm home. what do i do to celebrate being discharge from a 6 days 5 night hospital stay at Assunta? Go to 1 Utama to shoot fashion show. Discharge and recharge my batteries just in time for the last day of Fashion On 1 in 1Utama. Fitted a 85mm 1.8 lens with SB800 flash. Aperture set nearly wide open at f2.8 and set my flash level down by 2 stop to just offer fill-in light. Focusing were set at AF-C.(continuous focusing)

i post the rest on flickr when i finishing my post-processing. so how was assunta anyway? it was good. the nurses was hot and nice =P the doctor seems very professional even the cost also very very professional.

haha. they have starbucks and the always there for you 7-11.(they don't sell protection though and poison sticks)

so now to prepare for my remaining exams. good luck people.

Monday morning, didn't manage to sleep, high fever. So went for animation exam, with a bad headache and chills. sat there for 25 minutes, manage to finish the paper.

Tuesday night, Starbucks@Assunta Hospital. Got admitted into the hospital right after my exam. with 40.4 Celsius high fever. so still here now.

this hospital is cool. lolx. nuthin much to blog actually.

Nikon D80 DSLR

sold my 1st ever Camera and got myself a 2nd hand Nikon D80. Got myself a Dell Studio 15 laptop too. So far, enjoying both toys a lot.

So we have a new cabinet for Malaysia, that supposed to be leaner, cleaner, better and blah blah blah....

what i think? Maybe Mr. Prime Minister forgot that these ministers were mostly part of the previous government that failed to deliver on it's reform promises and so on. A group of ministers that ''cakap tak serupa bikin". Not only that, we have for the first time the most political rejects/losers in the cabinet, Losing the 2008 general election but still entering the cabinet via backdoors.

Leaner? its just 2 personnel less than the last one if i got my facts right. Meaner maybe.

At the end of the day, what you do with your position it will be judge.

Elizbeth Wong, state assemblyperson for Bukit Lanjan and Selangor executive councillor is back. Hope everything works out for her.

loser at the Batang. Pakatan Rakyat won both Bukit seats. Bukit Selambau with 15 candidates contesting, S. Manikumar from PKR won with a majority of 2,403. Bukit Gantang, MB turn MP Nizar Jamaluddin from PAS won with a bigger margin than last election with a majority of 2,789. Batang Ai, BN won with a majority of 1,854. This is a good result for Malaysia which proves the Rakyat's acceptance of the new two-party political system. So Pakatan where is the shadow cabinet?

So what been BN people been saying about the lost?
"You must understand, this is not our seat and not our state, we did not lose our own seat. So to look at it in such a defeated manner... I am not prepared to do that," Umno vice-president Hishamuddin Hussein said.

"They do not want to hear promises of change but they want to experience real change" MCA president Ong Tee Keat said. (oh..so you actually understand. =P)

Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin insisted that the by-elections are not a referendum of Najib Abdul Razak's premiership as he has just taken over the office.

"Maybe the people have a feel-good factor relating to Najib's premiership, but they have yet to absorb the good feelings." (absorb?)

Just a day before the tri-elections, there were so sure of winning. They think by lifting the ban on some newspapers and realeaseing 13 ISA detainees people will vote for them? In the first place why ban the newspapers? why detain people under ISA?and they are still quite alot of people in ISA. What about the rest?

It seems to me a politcal party is like a brand now, perception and experience is important. Promises just dont work anymore. So what if your brand promises to be the best? if it's percieve as a bluff, if the experience of using that brand is crap...bye bye brand. Even Sales Promotion nowadays dont work, like daggling Money and Development fund infront of the people. People perceive that Pakatan is better and cleaner, experience it to be real and authentic. so here you go...still King's of the Hills.
